For our client we are looking for an experienced Python developer to take their test infrastructure to the next level.

The client:

Our client develops single- and three- phase inverter-based products connecting batteries and renewable energy sources to the grid. These are high power devices with complex behavior and stringent requirements. They can operate grid connected as well as autonomously and make this transition seamlessly.

The department:

The role of the test engineer is to further develop their test framework as well as implement tests to make automated release and production testing of their products possible. This means configuring and controlling our product – the device under test – as well as connected AC sources, power analyzers and other measurement equipment to verify specific functionality or behavior. Both device under test and test equipment are controlled over CAN, Modbus, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, USB, etc. In your role you will be flanked by an experienced software and hardware development team.

Your role:

Profile: • Fluent in Python. • Object oriented mindset with a focus on code re-use. • Experience with automated test systems. • Experience with electronics measurement equipment. • Strong mathematical skills. • Experience with Python based application development (QT) is a pre. • Knowledge of lower level communication protocols like CAN or Modbus, is a pre. • An electronics / firmware development background can be a pre.

Job Requirements:

Key responsibilities:
• Development of automated tests according to specification. • Development and maintenance the automated test environment. • Maintenance of the test results. • Development of cross platform tooling in Python.
